Specifications include, but are not limited to: . Aluminum anti slip platform measuring 8 feet wide by 16 feet long. 2. The floor of the bed shall be a minimum of 10 gauge aluminum plate. 3. The cross members shall be 3 inch structural channel. 4. The long sills shall be 5 inch structural channel. 5. Heavy duty tapered header with louvered window opening, shall be constructed of the same aluminum. The header shall be at least as tall as the cab of the truck and no more than 6 inches above the top of the cab of the truck. The header must be equipped with a redundant set of stop/tail and backup lights, these lights must be located to each of the outer respective sides of the truck as the flatbed will permanently be hauling a very large holding tank. 6. Ladders will be permanently attached to the flatbed as soon after the header panel as possible and measure 24 inches wide and ~24 inches tall with two step treads evenly spaced. Ladder will not extend past bottom of running boards on truck. The step treads of the ladder must be made of 2” x 2” perforated aluminum tubing and equally spaced. The balance of the ladder system must be constructed of the similar 2” x 2” aluminum tubing, not perforated. 7. Aluminum tool box will be mounted under the flat bed on both sides of truck and positioned between ladder and back tires. Tool box will be ~24 inch tall x 32 inches wide x 24 inches deep or as big as possible without impeding function of truck and back tires. (see photo - page 3) 7. Clearance lights, 2 recessed on each side of the bed, one forward and one rearward. Five recessed at the rear of the vehicle, one towards each corner and a series of 3 in the center of the bed, with all being compliant with FMVSS#108. 8. All lights shall be LED design with a minimum of ten diodes. 9. One pair of mud flaps located after each the duals. 10. Side rails shall be made of the same anti slip aluminum and measure 12 inches tall. These side rails will be hinged with heavy duty hinges and designed to fold down level with the surface of the flat bed to provide additional standing area for employees. These side rails start immediately after the ladder system and continue to the rear of the flatbed. Side rails shall be able to support 3+ adults at one time (~600lbs+). When the side rails are not in use, they will be stowed in the upright position and held in place with durable mechanical fasteners to prevent rattling and accidental deployment while the truck is being operated. Fasteners will be placed only on posts at the front of the truck by the ladders. No tailgate is required on this flatbed. 11. All aluminum must be marine grade and the same type. 12. Warranty information must be provided with bid for the flat bed.
