Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City seeks proposals from qualified consultants to conduct a fundraising feasibility study toward the construction of a new animal shelter that meets industry standards for shelter planning. This fundraising study should determine how much capital can be raised realistically and in what duration of time. Additionally, the study will identify potential partners, or partnership strategies, challenges, and other issues or roadblocks for BNS to consider. The Animal Care Services Division of the City of Indianapolis Department of Business and Neighborhood Services (BNS) plans to engage in a capital campaign to fund the construction of a new animal shelter. BNS plans to raise these funds through City funding and fundraising, with sources to include donations, foundations, grants, and any other available money. The purpose of this RFP document is to establish an Agreement between the awarded Vendor(s) and the Consolidated City of Indianapolis and Marion County acting by and through the Department of Business and Neighborhood Services. The resulting agreement for a fundraising feasibility study to fund the construction of a new animal shelter will be subject to the availability of funding and budgetary considerations. The City is accepting proposals from qualified professional individuals, firms, partnerships or corporations having specific experience in the service area(s) as identified in this RFP. The City is interested in proposals that reduce cost, improve services and will complete work in a consistent professional manner. The proposal should reflect these qualities.
