Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is requesting consultant services for development and implementation of a formalized Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) program. The emerging implementation methods and cost-efficient technology of UAS will provide INDOT with an innovative solution to a wide range of applications, such as asset inventory and management, maintenance inspections, construction monitoring, operational research and rapid emergency response among other uses. The two year program will be tailored to providing solutions to the many challenges and regulatory hurdles INDOT faces including but not limited to: airspace restrictions, data management, and FAA Part 107 UAS pilot training programs for INDOT personnel.
