Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Conduct Community Outreach • The firm will assist IPTC with communicating, educating, and conducting one-on-one meetings with diverse businesses to inform them of opportunities to contract with IPTC to provide good, services, projects, and programs. • The firm will also share detailed information on major and minor construction projects. • Explain requirements for participation with the DBE and/or XBE programs. The firm will also assist DBE and/or XBE businesses with registration and certification. 2. DBE/XBE Vendor Relations • The firm may be requested to design, development, and/or support IPTC in maintaining a database of active diverse vendors and to keep vendors aware of opportunities and updates. • The firm will be required to initiate and maintain timely and consistent communication with diverse vendors as well as maintaining an accurate record of communications. • The firm will coordinate and facilitate relationship building between majority prime contractors and minority subcontractors. • Collaborate with project/construction managers to determine contract requirements, timelines, and encourage DBE/XBE participation as well as working with the DBELO to insure compliance.
