Specifications include, but are not limited to: Project AWARE has appropriated funds from the Family and Social Services Administration through the Division of Mental Health and Addiction to develop a map or representation of what community resources are available for schools to utilize and connect with. This will need to start with an environmental scan or landscape review of what resources currently exist. The funds are also intended to help the schools navigate and map out identified community resources around school districts with a contact for each resource. This could be a simple tool for school staff to know what is available to their students and families. This project will be done in two (2) phases. Phase 1 will be the landscape reviews of the Project AWARE Local Education Agency (LEA) counties. Phase 2 will be dedicated to replicating the process in the eight (8) counties where no local Systems of Care have been identified. The three (3) LEA counties are Hendricks, Perry and Vigo counties. The eight (8) counties that do not have an identified System of Care are Newton, Jasper, White, Carroll, Tippecanoe, Montgomery, Fountain and Warren counties.
