Specifications include, but are not limited to: Conduct a literature review of evidence-based best practices and research in the field of parent, family, and community engagement in charter schools and provide a comprehensive set of recommendations to IDOE for evidence-based practices to be implemented on a statewide basis. Provide technical assistance in identifying and implementing evidence-based best practices for parent, family, and community engagement for charter schools, including during the opening of a new charter school. Incorporate existing standards and statutorily-required practices for parent, family, and community engagement (Title I, Title III, IDEA, Article 7, SEC 1116 of ESSA) into deliverables to ensure schools have an understanding of the federal requirements for parent, family, and community engagement.
