Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Office of the Secretary of State is soliciting bids from qualified vendors for the purchase of one (1) Xerox Nuvera 288 Printer or approved equal. This must include Operating System Software, Controller, On-Line Board, Analyst Services, as well as cable/connectivity. All equipment must be new. Refurbished equipment will not be accepted. QUALIFIED VENDORS MUST MEET OR EXCEED THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA: • Xerox Nuvera 288 EA Perfecting Production System or approved equal • FEED4T -4 Tray Feed Module • LCDS288SW –LCDS S/W License & Documentation • FTMS –Finishing Transport Module • PS288SW –Postscript SW License Enabler • CVR-HIGH –Feeder Top Cover High Kit • Analyst Services for set-up, installation and training • Bid must include the trade-in of a 2 Xerox DP96LPS laser printers; serial number HOLO11154 and HOLO11078 and a Xerox DP155 laser printer; serial number 8VE059105 (includes controller serial number SBL01962), and all associated return transportation charges. • A proposed solution must provide a graphical monitoring tool that displays problems in the printer configuration. • The printer must be able to print from a zOS mainframe environment, using the Xerox Print Language, XPAF–Xerox Print Access Facility Print Management Software, or third party software. All existing forms were created using Xerox Print Language, consisting of Xerox Print Description Language (PDL), Xerox Forms Description Language, and Xerox Fonts through Elixir/Design Pro Tools. • The printer must be able to print from a TCP/IP datastream for print requirements and networking. • Equipment bid must be new. Refurbished or used equipment will not be accepted. • Printer must have the capacity to print (cut-sheet paper) up to 6,000,000 pages per month at a speed of no less than 144 simplex images per minute or 288 duplex images per minute. This is the maximum capacity the Secretary of State’s Office would require. This is not reflected of our current normal monthly print operations but is required for future emergency and growth. The Secretary of State’s projected average monthly print volume is 2.1 million pages per month. • No third party software solutions will be acceptable without the approval of SOS. • If any SOS user programs must be modified to accommodate the new printer, the bid must include the cost of those changes and the resources to complete that task. SOS personnel will not make the changes. • All operator training costs and installation costs must be included. • Service must be locally available 24x7x365 phone and on-site hardware, software support. On-site response time will consist of 2 to 4 hours and a problem resolution time of less than 18 hours. Vender will provide a monthly report on number of service calls, actual response time, actual time to resolution, average response and average resolution time. Failure to meet these requirements will result in a 10% reduction in the average monthly hardware billing charge for that month. • Multiple units will not be considered. Space is available for only one printer. • Minimum of 4800 x 600 dpi (dots per inch) resolution • Minimum input capacity of 6,000 sheets and output capacity of 5,000 sheets with continuous operation available. • Bid must include the cost of annual 24x7x365 maintenance and per image charge. • Equipment bid must be able to connect to a Z series Enterprise Server using FICON or TCIP/IP. • Vendor must provide at no cost to the Secretary of State’s office a thirty (30) day trial period of specified printer at the Secretary of State’s time discretion. Upon the end date of the trial period and the printer does not meet bid specifications, the vendor must remove printer at vendors cost. The current Xerox DP155 will remain at the SOS Facility during trial period.
