Specifications include, but are not limited to: A temporary air conditioning unit will be supplied and installed in the Healthcare Unit at the Stateville Correctional Center. The Contractor will be responsible for delivering a single unit comprising one (1), 30 ton minimum, DX Air Conditioner Unit (208 amp 208/3ph), and one (1) Minimum 300MBH Heating Unit along with (1) 75 kVA Transformer 208V:480V, and (1) 40' flat-bed trailer for use in the Healthcare Unit. The vendor shall provide the necessary accessories to ensure that the equipment is properly installed and working. Contractor will be responsible for tying into the existing hard duct in the HCU Mechanical room located in the Basement of the HCU building. Contractor will also be responsible for connection to the existing 208v/400A electrical service. Full installation and operation of the equipment shall be completed by Friday, April 17, 2020. This includes complete start-up and verification that all full operation of the equipment is performing within acceptable limits of the manufacturers specifications. Equipment Preventative Maintenance: The diesel-powered equipment requires service at specified intervals that are mandated by the factory. These service intervals occur each 250hrs for units up to 400kW & every S00hrs for S00kW and larger. The vendor can provide these services for an additional charge as reflected in section 2.4.1 If requested, additional labor will be based on normal 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. workdays. labor costs for times other than these shall be discussed and approved by the Chief Engineer. All after hour's callouts will be subject to a four (4) hour minimum charge at the applicable overtime rate. Fuel (If Required): Power generation equipment will be shipped under the following provisions: Generators 600kw & below will be shipped three quarters (3/4) full of #2 diesel fuel. Any fuel not returned will be charged at 20% over our actual refueling cost. Generators larger than 600kw are shipped with 200 gallons of fuel to comply with pertinent transportation regulations. Stateville Correctional Center is responsible for defueling to less than 200 gallons upon return of equipment. Fuel can be coordinated with the current vendor providing fuel at Stateville as an additional service. Special arrangements can be made in advance and approved by the Chief Engineer. If units return to the vendor & service has not been done within these intervals, Stateville Correctional Center will be charged.
