Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Accept direct input or a file of payroll data into the new solution; 2. Update employee profiles with direct input or a data file (if necessary); 3. Perform edits on the payroll data elements; 4. Transmit payroll data files to IOC for following steps: a. Add Involuntary Withholding deductions (if necessary); b. Verify appropriation information; and c. Verify cash balances. 5. Receive payroll data files back from the IOC; 6. Process the payroll files in the new solution to calculate from gross pay to net pay; 7. Ensure the payroll transactions comply with State, Federal, and IRS regulations; 8. Print and distribute all payroll checks/earnings statements, related deduction payments, and direct deposit transactions (through the IOC Lead Bank). The IOC will fund the checks and the lead bank check for direct deposits out of the State Treasurer accounts. The checks must be printed on IOC approved stock, must be substantially identical to the current check (Attachment VII – 9), and must be in IOC approved envelopes.
