Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Board of Education of the City of Chicago (the “Board”) is seeking not-for-profit organizations to pre-qualify to provide programs and services to students and families in the joint Chicago Public Schools (“CPS”) and Chicago Teachers Union (“CTU”) Sustainable Community Schools (SCS) Initiative. A joint SCS (“Task Force”) was created to effectuate, monitor, and implement the SCS initiative. The SCS initiative is a cohort model where schools and partners selected will be engaged in collaborative learning with the full group of participating schools and partners (e.g. joint professional development, collaborative capacity building, sharing best practices). The CPS Community Schools Initiative, in the CPS Office of College and Career Success (“CPS-CSI”) will manage the day to day operation of the initiative in collaboration with representatives from the SCS Task Force or CPS designees.
