Specifications include, but are not limited to: Rental & Disposal Services including the collection, transport, and disposal of municipal solid waste materials (hereinafter referred to as “waste hauling services”) that will be stored in various types and sizes of equipment to be located at designated facilities in accordance with this specification. Exhibit 3 lists the City of Chicago facilities requiring service under the terms and conditions of this specification. The City may revise the Equipment Distribution list to add locations, remove locations, and change the type, the quantity or the size of equipment and/or the frequency of pick-ups at any time during the contract period. The Contractor will be required to provide steel dumpsters – Rental & Disposal Services which includes waste hauling services and provide various types and sizes of disposal equipment required in this specification for the City of Chicago at designated buildings as listed in Exhibit 3 (“Locations and Frequencies”), and any additional facilities added to the contract, at the City’s discretion, at any time during the contract period. The Contractor will be required to provide and maintain all equipment listed in the proposal pages as part of the bid price and at no additional cost to the City. The Contractor will be responsible for picking up municipal solid waste materials from exterior areas or dock areas of the designated facilities, and hauling materials to a designated legal dump site (see Exhibit 3: Waste Materials and Dump Site Affidavit). The Contractor will not be responsible for collecting, sorting or relocating waste from containers located within the interior of designated facilities. The Contractor shall remove all collected waste materials as specified under this Specification. The Contractor shall leave the areas surrounding each serviced container free of trash, recyclables and debris. The Contractor must remove any loose waste materials, such as cardboard containers, from on or around the container at no additional cost to the city. The Contractor shall possess all state licenses required to collect waste materials and will be licensed with the Illinois Department of Transportation for transportation of waste materials. The Contractor will accept all liability for the proper transport of waste materials collected from the City facilities. The Contractor agrees that in the event of an accident of any kind, Contractor will immediately notify the City of Chicago Department of Fleet & Facility Management Commissioner and thereafter furnish a full written report of such accident.
