Specifications include, but are not limited to: Renovate and expand approximately 51,000 sf of Civil Engineering Hydrosystems Laboratory. A new bridge links Hydrosystems and Newmark Civil Engineering and includes the demolition of the 2-story portion of Hydrosystems, constructing a 3 story addition in its place. The High Bay of Hydrosystems will be projected and remain in operation during the construction work. New construction is steel frame with concrete foundations, footings and drilled piers. The exterior is brick, stone, metal panels and membrane roofing. Windows are curtain wall and storefront with insulated and smart glazing. Interiors include CMU, metal studs and gyp board, suspended acoustical ceilings and linoleum, resilient flooring and ceramic and carpet tiles. Labs include metal casework, fume hoods and service fittings.
