Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Forest Preserve is seeking the most qualified firms to provide appraisal services. Professional appraisal services will be selected for each project of the basis of experience and qualifications, and on the basis of fee proposals submitted for a specific project. The Preserves will contract with one or more Consultants to provide services on an as need basis. The Consultant must perform all professional consulting services necessary to accomplish the required services for a specific project. The services may include, but are not limited to, the following: • Highest and best use market valuations of land for acquisition/disposition by the District. • Valuation of easements, life estates and leaseholds. • Preparation of real estate crediting appraisals in compliance with the Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisitions, (“Yellow Book Standard”). • Expert testimony may be required for certain projects. • Preparation of reports. All reports must conform to Appraisal Standards, the Code of Professional Ethics, and Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice of the Appraisal Foundation. Respondents to this RFQ must describe ability and willingness to provide services if requested. The selected firm(s) will work closely with staff and hired experts to provide services to the Forest Preserve.
