Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent of this project is to resurface the existing roadway as well as add new aggregate shoulders on FAS 509 (Catlin Indianola Road) from the ECL of Indianola to the Indianola Georgetown Road intersection, in order to improve the ride quality while extending the service life of the pavement structure. Appropriate measures shall be taken by the Contractor to preserve the surrounding environment and to provide maximum protection to the public while minimizing its disruption and inconvenience. Resurfacing improvements consist of Class D pavement patching, Cold Central Plant Recycled (CCPR) Mix base course and Hot-Mix Asphalt surface course. Longitudinal joint sealant shall be placed over the CCPR lift. New pavement markings and raised reflective pavement markers will also be installed. This work will be done with minimal disruption to the traveling public utilizing normal traffic control for resurfacing. 1. Class D Pavement Patching 2. PCC surface removal (butt joint) and resurfacing throughout the project limits. 3. Aggregate shoulders 4. Placement of Pavement Markings and Raised Reflective Pavement Markers. 5. All other necessary items to complete construction on FAS 509.
