The vendor shall source, screen, and present an Illinois-licensed physician, as needed, to provide services to the Illinois Center for Rehabilitation and Education-Roosevelt to ensure coverage. The medical director will provide 24 hours coverage to ICRE-R students be available by phone (consultation with ICRE-R medical staff and consultation with the hospital medical staff on behalf of ICRE-R students). Consultation for ICRE-R admission records and any other medical recommendations needed by the students. This includes verifying current and expired medical licenses and controlled substance registrations, verifying employment history from references, acquiring an AMA or AOA profile, and checking customary OIG websites for Medicare/Medicaid sanctions. All Medical Directors referred by the vendor must have and show necessary qualifications outlined in 1.2.3 to perform required duties. Medical Directors are independent contractors of the Contractor and not subcontractors, agents, or employees.
