Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Transport Activities: The contractor shall follow and adhere to the procedures listed below in conjunction with transport activities: •The contractor will be notified at least one business day in advance when transport activities are required. Public Works will notify the contractor or sub-contractor to arrange for pick-up, loading, and unloading at destination site. •The contractor shall adhere to all city, local, state, and federal transportation guidelines as it applies to the transport of bagged leaves and associated materials; this will include, but is not limited to, appropriate use of tarps on truck beds, maximum load capacity compliance, and driver safety. •The contractor shall receive a “receipt of services” ticket for each amount of material processed based on the specified unit of measure identified in the Section 3 Proposal Form. This receipt will serve as proof of services for payment processing. A copy will be retained by Public Works. •At the request of the contractor, loading services may be provided by Public Works personnel. The contractor shall disclose all estimated City of Champaign staff labor and equipment usage in the specifications attachment titled Attachment A - Supplemental Program Description Form. •Unloading services will only be provided at the destination point by the contractor. •The contractor will be able to load materials at Public Works between the hours of 7am to 5pm, Monday through Fridays, unless other arrangements are made. B. Recycling Activities: The contractor shall follow and adhere to the procedures listed below in conjunction with recycling activities •The contractor will ensure no leaves or associated yard waste materials penetrate other neighboring properties, nearby lakes, streams, or roads. •The contractor shall provide, upon request, proof of compliance with IEPA recycling activities.
