Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Illinois Department of Insurance intends to procure the services to complement the work of the Life and Health Actuarial Sections in performing actuarial examinations on Illinois life and health insurance companies, health entities, and fraternal benefit societies. The Vendors must meet the American Academy of Actuaries Qualification Standards for issuing Statement of Actuarial Opinions in the Individual Life and Annuities, Health, and Group Life and Managed Care areas. The Vendors must also have the ability to perform risk focused examination procedures on various technical actuarial topics, including reserves, reinsurance, and Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act risks. Vendors shall be responsible for all taxes, employment benefits, workers’ compensation, unemployment benefits, expenses and liabilities related to any staff provided by the Vendor contract to the Agency. This is a No Cost contract to the State of Illinois.
