Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor will treat with chemicals when all other methods of control have proven ineffective. The Contractor will use the least toxic chemicals to control pests. Other approved chemicals will be used only if the least toxic chemicals prove to be ineffective in controlling pest populations. esistance management practices must be utilized. Where baits are being used for rodents, the contractor must rotate the bait stations monthly. No poisons of any kind will be used to control rodents without prior approval of the Contract Manager. The Contractor must check all bait stations monthly for activity and restock with fresh bait as necessary as part of the monthly inspection service. Installation and inspection dates must be written on the stations. Contract Manager may request the Contractor to check bait stations more frequently within a month’s time. Use of Bait Stations Bait stations must be placed at areas of active rodent infestation identified and generally placed out of view, in locations where they will not be disturbed by routine operations.
