Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of work for Part I generally consists of coordination with the State of Hawaii, City and County of Honolulu, Federal agencies, Pasha Hawaii and Young Brothers, private and/or public utility companies, and Contractor(s); demolition, removal, and disposal of contaminated and hazardous materials, asphalt concrete (AC) pavement, Portland cement concrete (PCC) pavement, waterfront and marine structures and debris (e.g., piers, bulkheads, piles, coastal and underwater debris), drainage systems, utility systems, electrical systems, buildings, slabs and foundation, underground storage tanks, cesspools, trees, vegetation, and miscellaneous items and debris both on land (including buried) and in water within the Part I project area; placement, relocation, maintenance, and removal of construction best management practices (BMPs); dredging and dredge material testing, processing, handling, hauling and disposal; construction of steel king pile, steel sheet pile and combination (steel king pile-sheet pile) walls; soil vibro-compaction; construction of cast-in-drilled-hole (CIDH) piles; construction of Piers 40F, 41, 42 and 43 wharf structures; construction of crane rails, crane support structures and other crane appurtenance along Pier 42 and Pier 43; earthwork; site surcharge and monitoring; construction of AC pavement; construction of PCC pavement and deck slabs; construction of drainage systems and permanent BMPs; construction of two horizontal directional drilled (HDD) high-density polyethylene (HDPE) water lines beneath Kalihi Channel; construction of utility systems (water and fire water); construction of electrical systems (power, telecommunications, and lighting); furnish and installation of marine fenders, mooring hardware and safety ladders; signage and striping / marking; and all incidental work necessary to complete construction as indicated on the construction drawings and within the Part I specifications.
