Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Properly removing the refrigerant from the refrigerated White Goods for recycling; b. Properly removing free or drainable fluids, if present, from the White Goods and recycle or properly dispose of them at a permitted disposal facility; c. Removing the White Goods from the White Goods Facility to be properly recycled within three (3) calendar days from receipt of the White Goods, or within a time period approved by the regulatory agency that reviews/approves the Contractor’s operations, whichever time period is more restrictive. The White Goods shall become the property of the Contractor upon removal from the vehicles. They shall also not be stockpiled in the Facility; d. Properly disposing of any hazardous materials or components of the White Goods, in accordance with all applicable City, State, and Federal laws, rules, and regulations, which includes the applicable EPA rules and regulations. The disposal of the hazardous materials or components shall be at no additional cost to the City; e. Ensuring that the White Goods are not disposed of directly at the Waimanalo Gulch Sanitary Landfill.
