Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Contractor shall collect urine specimens for drug testing from defendant/inmate at times designated by the Intake Service Staff. B. Contractor’s designated collection sites shall be in compliance with the requirements of the specific actions on page S-2 for locations of the collection sites throughout the State. C. Contractor shall allow the State to inspect and ensure that collection sites meet current State Department of Health requirements for security, privacy, and integrity. D. Contractor shall ensure compliance with the chain-of-custody requirements of the urine specimen(s). The Contractor shall: 1. Verify the defendant/inmate’s identity. 2. Provide a specimen container and ensure that the specimen container is properly coded, dated, and sealed in front of the defendant/inmate. 3. Obtain the defendant’s/inmate’s signature on the designated form that acknowledges the defendant/inmate’s specimen has been sealed and coded in his/her presence. 4. Complete a tracking form documenting the handling and storage of the urine specimen from collection to final disposition. E. Contractor shall provide expert testimony before a court of law as required on behalf of the Department regarding the methodology and findings of the urinalysis screening and testing services provided by the Contractor.
