Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Chemical compound used in lures (ethyl 4-methyloctanoate) should be effective to attract both male and female adults of the Coconut Rhinoceros Beetle. 3. Due to the large number of lures being requested, partial lot shipments will be acceptable. A minimum of one (1) shipment will be allowed with the total number not to exceed eight (8) during the contract period. 4. Each lure should require little to no modification to secure to a vane trap with tie wire. 5. Individual packet size dimensions are to be no larger than 3” x 3” x .5”. 6. Each lure packet shall be sealed to prevent release of chemical attractant until activated by prescribed method of activation. 7. Lures should have a “shelf life” of 24 – 36 months when kept inactive and under refrigerated conditions. 8. Lures will be used outdoors and subject to normal field conditions (i.e. sunlight, rain, wind, etc.), type of packaging and deployment used should take these factors into consideration. 9. Individual lures should have an effective viable period after activation for a minimum of 60 calendar days. 10. The vendor shall provide SDS for the chemical lures upon award being made. 11.
