Specifications include, but are not limited to: The successful respondent will perform the following: Evaluate Albany’s electric cost including Competitive Trust returns looking backward for 10 years Analyze Albany’s existing resource mix (capacity and energy) compared to the system load curve. Examine Albany’s requirements under the MEAG Power Sales Contract. Evaluate Albany’s future resource requirements based on multiple scenarios. These scenarios should be constructed to include the absence of some existing resources and the addition of new resources including renewable energy resources. Analyze and generate a report on adding solar energy into the portfolio. Preform an analysis on the sales of excess power. MEAG is the currently analyzing the benefits of closing Plant Wansley for the membership. Consultant will be required to analyze and generate an impact report for Albany Utilities on the plant closing. Establish economic development benchmarks to guide the city in its pursuit of economic development projects. These benchmarks should include business sector types with a focus on energy usage that will complement Albany’s load curve and resource mix. Examine all of Albany’s resource entitlement percentage shares to determine overall fixed cost and remaining length and projected life of those resources. Prepare and submit to Stephen Collier, Assistant City Manager-Utilities Administration, a comprehensive assessment report of the findings from A-F.
