Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1 Provide summer programming and activities developmentally appropriate and provide opportunities for participants to build skills that support their academic, physical and social-emotional growth and success. 2.2 The summer programs must provide a safe, clean, and responsive learning environment that is committed to diversity, tolerance and inclusion. 2.3 The summer programs must have a clear mission that supports the vision of Atlanta Public Schools, well-defined goals, sound fiscal management, and clear policies and procedures that support quality and sustainability. 2.4 The contract period and length of day will be determined and approved by the school’s principal or designated APS representative. Summer program options include but are not limited to: two weeks, three weeks, four weeks, or five weeks depending on budget and school need and may also run for ½ day (5 hours) or full day (8 hours).
