Specifications include, but are not limited to: Waste to be managed includes trash, bulky items, white goods, tires, recyclable materials, yard trimmings, wastewater residuals (e.g., sludge, biosolids, etc.), ash (e.g., residual from incineration of residuals), grit (e.g., sand, rocks, egg shells, coffee grounds, and similar materials), wastewater screenings, water treatment influent screenings (e.g., leaves, plastic bottles, twigs, etc.), construction and demolition debris, street sweep debris, similar materials from unit cleanouts, and other materials identified in Section 3.0 below. The purpose of the following scope of services is to describe the City’s wastes management needs, which includes five waste streams: 1. residential solid wastes, 2. recyclables, 3. yard trimmings, 4. solids generated at water treatment and wastewater treatment facilities, and 5. other wastes generated and/or collected by the City.
