Specifications include, but are not limited to: All parking lot areas from the rear entrance, including driveway, will be resealed with an asphalt sealer with added materials to avoid slipperiness. All existing markings and lines will be repainted after being sealed. These marking lines include, but are not limited to parking space lines, handicap markings brought up to current code, priority parking and caution markings. The parking lot area contains approximately 220 spaces; 150 in the lower lot and 70 spaces in the upper lot to include the small lot between Marietta Police and Fire Departments. A. All areas shall be cleaned before resealing. B. Areas that have grease and/or oil spots shall be treated and removed prior to resealing. All sink holes shall be repaired. C. Sealcoating must meet Federal Specifications RP-355e. Tar sealer should be cut no more than 30% with water prior to application. 4% latex rubber polymer will be added to the sealer. Must have at least five (5) pounds of sand per gallon of coal tar to provide non-slip surface. All edges will be done by hand with squeegee brushes to minimize overspray. Sealer must be applied in two coats with an average rate of .18 gallons per square yard or 5.5 square yards per gallon of material. D. Seal cracks ¼” or larger prior to application of sealcoat using a hot applied elastomeric crack/joint sealant for asphaltic and concrete pavements.
