Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Metter, Georgia is requesting statements of qualifications, proposals and cost from engineering consultants with a strong record or qualifications, which will enable it to successfully assist the local government with development and implementation of resurfacing seven (7) city streets using Transportation Investment Act (TIA) funds and upgrading city infrastructure to include water, sewer and drainage. The seven (7) city streets with upgrades and improvements are as follows: 1.) Green St. from E. Lillian St to E. Lee St. to include resurfacing, drainage and curbing/gutter; 2.) S. Rountree St. from S.E. Broad St. to W. Hiawatha St. to include resurfacing, approximately 1222’ of new 6” PVC water line and service laterals from Neal St. to Jeanette St., replace an estimated 900’ of 1 ½” galvanize water line and service laterals between Pine St. and Vertia St., evaluate the existing sanitary sewer by means necessary and make recommendations as to replacement and/or upgrade or not from S.E. Broad St. to Hiawatha St.; 3). Ellis St., Boston St., Mincey St., Smith St., Huiett St. to include resurfacing and drainage improvements.
