Specifications include, but are not limited to: Fluid milk and milk products shall be manufactured and packaged as defined in the “Regulations Governing the Production and Sale of Milk and Milk Products, “as published by the State Board of Health. Milk and Milk Products shall be pasteurized, homogenized and vitamin fortified. Fluid milk shall be delivered at a temperature of 40 degrees or less. Any milk delivered above 40 degrees may be rejected or returned for credit if spoilage occurs. Product Packaging: All milk is to be packaged in coated half pint cartons with pouring spout or plastic bottles. Whether cartons or bottles are supplied, they must be clean and odorless with less than 1% leakage. Milk must be transported in clean plastic crates. Crates should contain no more than fifty (50) containers of milk. The milk company is responsible for sanitizing milk crates on a daily basis.
