Specifications include, but are not limited to: he Bartow County School System (BCSS) is soliciting proposals for Hood Vent Cleaning services for Bartow County School Nutrition facilities. a. Cover and protect equipment below and around the hood. Equipment and floor surfaces must be cleaned of any residue after hood cleaning is completed. Ladders, scaffolding, or platforms must be utilized to eliminate climbing on or standing on any equipment. b. Clean shafts, as well as interior and exterior parts of hood equipment in compliance with NFPA #96 as well as any and all local Fire Codes. At a minimum, the following processes must be included: 1. Removal of solidified, semi-solidified, or liquid cooking by-products 2. Wash surfaces to clean state 3. Wash/rinse surfaces with high pressure hot water or steam processes c. When cleaning is complete, all access doors must be replaced and fastened. Dampers which were moved during cleaning shall be repositioned for proper exhaust airflow. Electrical and other system components must be returned to an operable state. Exhaust system must be tested to ensure proper operation prior to leaving the facility. Visible stainless steel surfaces should be polished and free of cleaning residue or debris. d. Chemical disposal in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines shall be the responsibility of the successful vendor. e. Provide a detailed report for each site which must be submitted to the School Nutrition Director following completion. The reports must include at a minimum the following information: 1. Date of cleaning 2. Location of service (school name and address) 3. Detailed description of services performed listing areas cleaned 4. Listing of areas not accessible for cleaning along with a definition of what the vendor deems “not accessible”. 5. Printed name and signature of technician responsible for performing cleaning services at that location Completed reports must be submitted and will be reviewed prior to payment authorization.
