Specifications include, but are not limited to: • The Proposer will furnish and install an advanced recording system designed to provide recording of, at minimum, 24 channels for the Macon-Bibb County E-911 Center, the equipment furnished must be designed for continuous duty operation. • The system is to be used for recording and playback of telephone, console, and radio communications. All recordings are to be digitally compressed and stored onto a networked storage medium, and subsequently archived. • The system must provide state of the art technology that will satisfy the present and future needs of the Macon-Bibb County E-911 Center and be capable of adapting to existing and future technological advances such as VoIP as well as NENA standards. • The system must allow for simultaneous recording and playback from the storage medium. Playback from storage medium must not interrupt or affect the recording process. • The system must support the ability to perform off-line playback of recordings from the archive. In the case of external or network archive, it must be possible to access the device independently of the recorder, from a PC workstation equipped with the playback software. • The system must be able to capture TTY/TDD information. • The system must time stamp all audio recordings and system events. • The recorder must integrate seamlessly on a Microsoft Windows network. • The system shall have a notification system in place to alert of any failure or outage on the system. System Security • The system must provide user level security with the ability to assign user rights to some or all functions. • The system must require user names with associated passwords. • Must have the ability to restrict access to certain channels, add/modify users, create call copies, and to view status logs and alarm acknowledgements. The system must also contain a user access log.
