Specifications include, but are not limited to: replacement of Portland Cement Concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, and catch basin tops. Any modifications to the existing width, length, or thickness of the concrete sidewalk, curb, and gutter, or catch basin tops will need to be approved by the city. This work shall consist of supplying, transporting, forming, placing, finishing and curing of Portland Cement Concrete for sidewalks, curb and gutter, and catch basin tops at locations specified in Exhibit B. Concrete shall conform to the minimum requirements for Class “B” as specified by GDOT Section 441 – “Misc. Concrete.” Concrete shall be placed only when the air temperature is 40 degrees Fahrenheit and rising, and will be protected from freezing for the first 24 hours. Appropriate levels of care will be employed by Contractor to restrict public access to uncured concrete. Concrete will be broom finished, edged and jointed. The City will mark all areas for replacement, and the contractor shall saw cut as necessary to protect the remaining infrastructure.
