Specifications include, but are not limited to: renovate 23,000 sf of existing, single story, CMU constructed building. The building renovation will include the incorporation of additional classrooms and program Labs for multiple instructional programs in the construction disciplines, restroom facilities and administrative space. The existing space was previously used as industrial warehouse. The interior scope includes installation of new metal stud walls with painted GWB, new floor finishes, new acoustical ceilings with various locations receiving exposed painted ceilings, extensive electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other architectural upgrades. The exterior scope of the existing building is to remove existing brick veneer and replace portions of elevation with new brick and new insulated metal panels to create a new character for the facility while maintaining the Albany Technical College brand. The Project has minimal site work, including tying into existing utilities which was mostly completed during Phase 1. This second phase includes minimal structural work along exiting perimeter walls.
