Specifications include, but are not limited to: Georgia Institute of Technology (“GIT”) proposes a multi-year project to implement a single, campus-wide physical access control service. Phasing of the work will be closely coordinated between GIT’s Project Manager and the CM at Risk team selected. It is anticipated that the project will be phased over three calendar years and funded in three fiscal years. The awarded CM at Risk is anticipated to be under contract for pre-construction activities in early September 2019 and with all phases of work completed by June of 2022. The proposed infrastructure project would improve GIT’s ability to manage the assignment and revocation of access privileges and enhance the overall security of its campus facilities. Multiple existing access control systems, some of which are near obsolescence, would be replaced with a scalable, non-proprietary, and integrated solution. The proposed access control solution contains a global management module and video surveillance convergence capability. The newly installed hardware would also provide a foundation to allow for costeffective adoption of future security advancements, such as the use of biometric credentials.
