Specifications include, but are not limited to: Install new fire alarm speakers throughout the building on all floors per NFPA 72. All new speakers shall be white and ceiling mounted. Speaker wires shall be installed with plenum rated wire above acoustical ceilings. Voice evacuation system shall play a pre‐recorded evacuation message approved by GGC. Any surface raceways shall be metal and be coordinated with the GGC prior to installation. Replace all existing horn strobes notification devices throughout the building with strobe only devices. Install additional strobes in all areas that do not have a strobe to ensure all spaces throughout the building is code compliant. Provide and install paging microphone, audio amplifier, battery box and all necessary equipment for the operation of the voice evacuation system. All new strobe only notification devices will match the existing color of the current strobes. Upon the completion of the install the vendor must conduct an intelligibility test and provide a report to ensure voice evacuation system is compliant per NFPA 72 standards. The design and installation shall satisfy NFPA 72, all current and applicable codes, and shall include all devices required such that the system performance satisfies all applicable codes and the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). The fire alarm contractor is solely responsible for the installation of the fire alarm notification devices, and shall provide final as built drawings, including but not limited to wiring diagrams, voltage drop, and battery calculations.
