Specifications include, but are not limited to:. The following minimum specifications are required: The system must be compatible with the current HVAC controls. The contractor must meet the requirement of the statute “BUY AMERICAN”. The system will be designed by the contractor and proposed in the bid. The system must be at least equal or greater in tonnage capacity. The chilled water pump of equal or greater size will be installed at the same time. A chilled water control valve must be installed during the installation. All chilled water piping and insulation within the mechanical room must be replaced. Any duct work required to make the system compatible to existing will be considered incidental to the project. A construction plan must also be included to minimize down time of the HVAC system on the building. Airport Badging will be required during this project, which will require a background check and strenuous escorting of non-badged personnel. A training class for the badge takes about 1.5 hours and must be completed prior to the issuance of access badges. Anyone violating Transportation Security Administration (TSA) or local safety and security rules may be escorting off the property and further access denied.
