22-271 - Pre-Fabricated Pedestrian Bridge, Design Build

The City of Johns Creek is soliciting turnkey design-build services for a pedestrian trail bridge to be constructed at Shakerag Park. The contractor shall install a new 30'x5' pre-fabricated pedestrian bridge over a creek for a new nature trail. Bridge shall be constructed of metal or composite material and have metal, composite, or concrete decking (no wood) and vertical pickets. Services shall include any evaluations, design and installation of necessary abutments, including providing design details stamped by a structural engineer licensed in Georgia. Bridge shall be designed for pedestrian loads.

Interested parties shall visit the project site and provide a 1 page (maximum) written approach indicating how the bridge and abutments will be installed. Approach shall indicate the type of abutment proposed and a description of how access to the bridge site will be accomplished for installation. Submittal package shall also include references for 3 similar projects and cut sheets of the bridge model proposed for the project.
