Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this procurement is to obtain an external review of the Salary Administration Plan for exempt and non-exempt staff at Columbus State University (CSU). The effort under this procurement will entail a review of the current salary administration plan for including interviews of key campus stakeholders regarding the strengths and challenges of the current salary administration program for staff to provide recommendations for improvement. At a minimum, such recommendations for improvement and/or change in the salary administration plan for staff will include recommended salary principles and other compensation methods as well as leading compensation practices used by peer higher education institutions as well as other institutions or organizations specifically identified during the process which would be appropriate for implementation at CSU. The review will serve as the foundation for the development of a revised or new salary administration plan by CSU’s Human Resources and the Office of the Vice President of Business and Finance for exempt and non-exempt staff that will enable CSU to best meet the needs of CSU’s schools, colleges, and the staff working at CSU. Statement of Work • Columbus State University’s requirement from Consultant is a salary study of our staff employees, Vice Presidents and below, their respective positions and job classifications as it relates to the market. The purpose of this study is to examine the base pay of current positions and perform a geographical and professional market comparison of those positions. • The study should be based on comparison to industry standard benchmarks for professional and comparable positions, both in higher education and private industry, as well as comparison to peer institutions • Deliverables will include documentation of the market data and methodology, presentations, training, and a systematic way of monitoring pay scales against the current market. Provide a risk assessment of the salary plan for staff employees, a recommended methodology for addressing salary, and communication for how the recommended methodology addresses the risks identified.
