Specifications include, but are not limited to: • The City is seeking competitive quotes from qualified Contractors to provide, install, and warrant door access hardware for 34 new door access locations. All wiring will go back to a central location in the building where the controllers will be located. Controllers will then be connected to a city provided switch. All readers must be Seos compatible, and controllers must be mercury (Genetec). 100 HID cards must be provided by vendor. • Attached with the RFP is a Door Controller Placement Diagram with desired locations. • All Door Access Controllers quoted will be Mercury and must be compatible with current Genetec System • Cabinet, switches, transceivers and all cable management in the cabinets will be supplied by the City of Gainesville • Genetec licenses will be required along with 5-year advantage plan for each door • Purple Cat6a cabling will need to be used for connection from door controller to switch • Additional conduit and boxes will be added where needed for new doors • Service loop will be required on each end • All exposed cabling will be secured and tie wrapped • Cabling will be terminated, labeled (according to current scheme) and Industry Certified Tested with certification documentation to be provided along with the as-built documentation at the end of the project. • The doors shall be setup and configured in Genetec • All conduit being used must be ridged aluminum. • All LB’s and connectors will be of the ridged type. • All Unistrut will be aluminum. • Anchors used on Unistrut will need to be stainless steel. • All Unistrut clamps will be aluminum. • Conduit must be secured every 4’ with Unistrut or ridged one-hole strap clamps. (Galvanized one hole) • All junction boxes that are needed will be of the ridged type. • Race ways that are already in place can be used as long the conduit fill is not exceeded. • Pathways that go above drop ceilings will not be required to have conduit. • Any conduit that is installed in areas with new paint must be painted by vendor. It will be painted as the rest of the painting in that area. If an epoxy paint has been used, that’s what has to be done to the new equipment. • All work is required to be done in the timeframe of Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm. • Contractor must give one day’s notice or they will not be allowed to work onsite. • If a mess has been made, it is the contractor’s responsibility to clean it up at the end of the day.
