Specifications include, but are not limited to: Project scope includes all construction activities related to the demolition of existing parking deck Y and creation of a surface lot, including but not limited to BMP’s for E&SC, dust control, structural reinforcement of driveway wall, site protection, demolition and removal of elevated deck, electrical lighting and access control, resurfacing the lot, striping and signage. The delivery method for this Project will be design-bid-build and, as a minimum, will employ the services of a Design Professional in addition to the services of the General Contractor. The Stated Cost Limitation (SCL) for this project is $ 750,000. The final SCL may be revised by the Owner due to final programmatic requirements, funding availability or other circumstances. The firm THA Consulting, Inc. is currently developing construction documents for the project, which should be complete and available for distribution to eligible firms by December 13, 2023. It is anticipated that construction will begin February 15, 2024. (All of the dates above are estimates which are subject to change.) The project is subject to the Georgia Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Construction Act of 2008 and it is the desire of the Owner to incorporate sustainable design and construction concepts in the project where feasible to do so. The GC will be responsible for methods of construction, safety, and the scheduling and coordination of the work of all construction and miscellaneous contracts required for completion of the project within its bid price and schedule. The successful GC will be required to coordinate and work harmoniously with the Owner’s consultants and any other agency (local, state, federal) that may have an impact on the outcome of the project, including any other contractors or GSU personnel.
