Specifications include, but are not limited to: he project is to construct a fully automated, electrically operated two (2) gate spillway with design capacity of 1,150 cfs to be built just north of the existing S-333 Structure at the intersection of the L67A and L-29 Canals, in Miami-Dade County. The purpose of the proposed S-333N Structure is to provide additional operational flexibility and conveyance of flows to Everglades National Park (ENP) as a part of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan. The work involves construction of the new spillway with the associated canal excavation, levee construction and stabilization. The project also includes a new air boat ramp, sidewalks, pavement, control building with instrumentation, motor operators, telemetry, site lighting, underground propane tank, electric service conduit with associated horizontal directional drill under the L-29 canal. The project also includes construction of stilling wells, water quality monitoring station, staff gauges, steel walkways, and removal of the existing water quality monitoring platform.
