Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Locate all underground utilities prior to start of work. 2. Contractor shall submit and receive a Nation Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit from the Florida Department of Environmental protection as required for all construction work. 3. Verify all measurements and elevations as indicate on the approved site plans provided by City. 4. Provide erosion and sediment control devices per approved site plan and NPDES. 5. The contractor is responsible to furnish all required materials, labor, equipment and tools to perform all operations necessary to construct the stormwater pond, install the inlets and pipes as shown on the approved site plans. 6. The contractor is responsible for providing maintenance of traffic in accordance with applicable FDOT standards. 7. A construction schedule and sequence of work shall be provided to the City. 8. The contractor will be responsible for all material and compaction testing required for work within the roadway. Copies shall be provided to City. 9. Contractor shall comply with OSHA regulations, and provide temporary barriers with warning signs around work area. 10. Contractor shall maintain drainage through the project site at all times. 11. Tree protection measures shall be installed and maintained in accordance with City of Fernandina Beach standards. 12. Contractor shall furnish shop drawings for approval by the City project manager for all drainage structures. 13. Upon completion, contractor shall furnish as-built drawings for all improvements. Site Work 1. All grading and erosion and sediment control device placement shall be in accordance with the approved plans and applicable codes. 2. The contractor shall be responsible for daily cleanup in project vicinity. All construction debris shall be removed from the site. 3. All suitable excess material from Pond excavation shall be delivered to City Utility Yard at S 5th and Lime Street. 4. All disturbed areas shall be restored in accordance with City of Fernandina Beach standards. 5. All drainage structures scheduled to be replaced that are in salvageable condition shall be set aside for pickup by the City. 6. Contractor shall be responsible for all dewatering necessary for construction, and shall ensure that all drainage pipes are protected from floatation due to ground water conditions.
