Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of the STA-1E Western Flow-way Modifications Project is to improve water quality discharges to the Everglades Protection Area by helping to balance flows and loads to meet the Water Quality Based Effluent Limit (WQBEL) that would achieve compliance with the State of Florida’s numeric phosphorous criterion in the Everglades Protection Area (EPA), while minimizing implementation costs to the extent possible. Generally, this standard operation will be accomplished in Western Flow-way by regrading the Western Flow-way treatment cells.
