Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. General work: requirements shall include the replacement of existing pavement markings in thermoplastic and/or paint at signalized intersections, County or other municipal owned parking lots, public beach access ramps, and off beach parking lots. B. New construction: shall include layout and striping, in accordance with construction plans as provided by the County, of new roadway construction. The above may include both permanent and temporary pavement markings in paint and subsequent final markings in thermoplastic, following a new pavement cure time as directed by the Road & Bridge Director or designee. Pavement cure time may range from forty-eight (48) hours to ten (10) days. Double drop bead installation shall be required for new construction only. C. Replacement or modification of existing markings: shall include, but not be limited to, restriping in thermoplastic and/or paint at intersections, roadway segments and public parking lots throughout the County as directed by the Road and Bridge Director or County Project Manager. 1. Priority of restriping projects shall be as directed by the County Project Manager, shall be reviewed by the County periodically and is subject to change with reasonable notice. 2. Replacement of existing markings shall generally require restriping in thermoplastic and/or paint in the same patterns, pavement legends and symbols, stop bars and crosswalks currently existing.
