Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Clean all deck areas by pressure washing, chlorine washing and acid washing before installation or application of any new material. 2. Repair and treat all deck cracks by grinding or v-cutting to structural soundness. Provide and apply Sherwin Williams Concrete & Masonry Smooth and Textured Elastomeric Patches, or approved equal, per the manufacturer’s technical specifications or bidder’s recommendations. 3. Remove damaged areas and areas of delineation by grinding and sanding prior to skim coating surface. 4. Skim coat entire surface for smooth finish by providing and applying the texture using H&C Pro Series Dura-Top Concrete Resurfacer, or approved equal, per the product manufacturer’s technical specifications and proposer’s recommendations. Blow deck clean, let dry and apply two coats of H&C Acryla-Deck floor paint, or approved equal, per the manufacturer’s technical specifications or proposer’s recommendations. Color to match existing. Any substitutions proposed must provide substantial evidence of slip resistance in an aquatics environment. 5. Cut expansion joints out to ½” in depth to allow new application of Volkem, or approved equal, with color closest to the finish. No texture on the joints. 6. The air temperature must be greater than 50 degrees Fahrenheit during the resurfacing process.
