Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Mowing Activities The Contractor shall provide all aspects of the mowing activities including, but not limited to, the supervision, labor, equipment, tools and transportation to complete the required mowing treatment specified. 2. Mowing Activity Types 2.1 Batwing Mowing of Pastures or Other Grassy Areas Batwing mowing consists of mowing areas within pastures or other predominately grassy areas and will require all grass, part grass and part weed and woody vegetation less than 2 inches in diameter within the designated work area be cut to a height less than 6 inches. The County’s Project Manager has the authorization to change the height on some projects to meet project goals. This activity will also include ground level trimming, such as weed eating around fencing, signs, gates, structures, etc. Equipment for batwing mowing shall be a Bushhog 15-foot Flex-wing mower with 90 horsepower (hp) tractor, 4-wheel drive or equivalent. Weed eater equipment shall be gas operated to trim around existing structures, gates, bridges, towers, headwalls, fences and signage posts in mowing areas. Other equipment may also be necessary to accomplish the specifications of the delivery order. Equipment used by the Contractor shall be approved by the County’s Project Manager.
