Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Roadway, Traffic and Transportation: engineering services including roadway design, traffic studies, second-order storm drainage improvements, traffic calming and underground utility upgrades among others. Familiarity with the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act (ISTEA) Local Agency Program (LAP) Certification process is essential. Firm is required to be pre-qualified for Design and Inspection work for Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and have experience with Broward County’s engineering standards for roadway, signalization and regulations. 2. Land Development, Civil-Site and Drainage Systems: engineering services for site developments projects to include planning, civil site and drainage improvements, landscaping, passive parks, preparation of construction documents, budgeting, approval, permitting, bidding, construction and final project closeout. Firm must have experience with drainage canal systems and South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) regulations. Adhere to City Engineering Standards, City’s Planning and Zoning requirements and Community Redevelopment Areas. 3. Electro-Mechanical and Instrumentation Control: engineering services for City-wide electrical, mechanical equipment, instrumentation and control consultation and design. This may include control panels, lift stations, storm water pumping stations, lighting, HVAC systems, elevators, elevators, emergency generators, building facilities, irrigation and water features other minor City infrastructure. Electrical systems troubleshooting and problem solving skills utilizing electrical control schematics, P&ID's and loop drawings. Familiarity with LEED standards is required and City’s lighting Ordinances.
