Specifications include, but are not limited to: The successful contractor will be required to provide all labor, equipment, and materials for infrastructure improvements and repairs to sewer manholes, wet wells, and stormwater structures at Utilities locations throughout Polk County. PCU has an expectation as part of this bid that the successful Contractor will mobilize in an expedited manner during emergencies in order to minimize wastewater water outages for County residents. The various items will be performed in accordance with PCU specifications and in conformity with the existing condition of the pipe, its grade, and dimensions. All work will be completed in accordance with PCU code Standard Details. A. Interior manhole, wet wells and stormwater structure coating systems specified herein shall be resistant to abrasion, acid, hydrogen sulfide attack, chemical, corrosion attack; and prevent infiltration. B. This specification provides for polyurethane coating system as follows: Spray applied self-priming polyurethane resin based coating system containing 100% solids, and volatile organic compound (VOC) free. The coating shall be a minimum of 1/8" thick for new work and from 1/4" thick to 1" thick for rehab work, applied in multiple lifts. C. The materials used shall be designed, manufactured, and intended for use in sanitary sewer and storm water system manholes and structure protection and rehabilitation. The materials shall have been successfully used in manhole, wet wells and stormwater structure work and rehabilitation projects as determined by the PCU PM, based on information provided by the Contractor. The selected product or system must bear the manufacture’s certification that it will fulfill the requirements described herein when applied in accordance with the manufactures written instructions.
