Specifications include, but are not limited to: Brevard County Purchasing Services, on behalf of various departments, is soliciting bids from qualified, licensed biomedical waste transporters to: -collect and dispose of home user sharps boxes from designated collection sites and the distribution of new one gallon sharps boxes to designated distribution sites; -supply cases of one gallon plastic, individual sharps boxes to each of the collection sites; -collect and dispose of biomedical waste from Brevard County Fire Stations; -collect and dispose of biomedical waste from Brevard County Fire Stations Medical Examiner’s Office. Proper identification, segregation, containment, storage, and labeling of sharps/biomedical waste containers are required.
