Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Tohopekaliga Water Authority (Toho) invites interested engineering consulting firms with experience in WTP (water treatment plant) upgrades and expansion design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration to submit Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) for design, permitting, bidding assistance, construction administration, and other related services for the Huron WTP expansion project. The selected consultant will provide site investigation, improvement alternative evaluation, preliminary and final treatment plant expansion design, bidding, construction administration services, startup, and other miscellaneous services as required. The existing Huron WTP permitted treatment capacity is 4.81 MGD. The improvements to the treatment facility will incorporate infrastructure to facilitate an expansion to approximately 7.5 MGD. In general, the expansion and other improvements of the WTP may include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. New Production Well 2. High Service Pump Upgrades 3. Aeration / Chemical System Upgrades 4. Demolition of an old GST and two Hydropneumatic tanks 5. Piping Upgrades/Modifications/Improvements at the WTP and distribution system 6. Electrical- including Generator Upsize 7. Instrumentation and Control Improvements 8. Site Work 9. Other improvements that may be required to meet future needs and for long term operation. This may include, but are not limited to, security system upgrades and flow meter upgrades.
