Columbia County Board of County Commissioners is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide abatement services in support of the County’s Code Enforcement Department. These services may include, but are not limited to, the removal of trash and debris, securing vacant structures, overgrown vegetation control, illegal dumping clean up, and demolition of unsafe structures. The selected contractor will assist in performing abatement work when property owners fail to comply with enforcement actions. The abatement contractor will be responsible for carrying out all activities necessary to bring the property into compliance with the issued violation. This may include: A. Removal of Debris: Safely removing trash, junk, or hazardous materials. B. Security: Boarding up vacant properties, securing windows, doors, or other points of access. C. Vegetation Management: Cutting and trimming overgrown vegetation, including grass, weeds, or trees. D. Disposal: Proper disposal of any materials that have been removed in accordance with environmental regulations. E. Additional Services if specified in violation.
